About me

A little about me.

I’m a freelance photographer and Director of the Wildlife Studio Ltd.  My photography specialism is with horses at liberty (without riders) and wildlife. I studied at art school and my style of photography is a creative balance of strong colour, light, and textures to create an emotional response to my subject.
horsesI live on the edge of Sherwood Forest, and I have a love of animals and nature. I’m lucky enough to share my home with two Yorkshire whippets, and two Arabian horses.   I regularly encounter red fox, deer, woodland birds and hares in my woodland walks and I also live near the wild Derbyshire Peak District National Park.

I try to use my photography to bridge a gap between the virtual world we now live in, and the natural world, to explore, observe and share the importance of wildlife, conservation, and protection of the environment.

I encourage you to engage with nature through a camera, and you can join me on one of my Wildlife Studio Photo Workshops.

As you can see from my portfolio, I love to travel around the world to photograph horses and wildlife, and I have visited some interesting places like Sable Island, Namibia, Mongolia, China, Iceland, Canada, Montana, Jordan, Dubai, Egypt, Italy, Portugal, Camargue and across Europe.   I have lots of new travel and photography plans ahead, and if you want to see what I’m working on you can keep up to date through my website Adventure log, and my Facebook page.

whipsA selection of my work is available to buy online through my Wildlife Studio Shop, and at galleries and exhibitions throughout the year.
